Listening Experience Database – SPARC panel

The SPARC team gave a panel presentation last weekend at the Listening Experience Database conference, held at the Royal College of Music.Β  Amongst some fascinating papers about Samuel Pepys’ experience of music in the theatre, and a keynote from Prof Simon Frith on the sociology of listening, we presented on the ethics and methods of audience research, and the social and personal value of live music listening.Β  We hope for further connections with the LED project in the future and you can read more about their work here.
