Soundplay begins

After some frantic writing of research plans, ethics forms and questionnaires before Easter, the Soundplay research project launched this week, with visits to four nursery settings in Sheffield to observe the effects of music workshops on children’s language learning.  We’re working with Sheffield City Council’s inclusion unit and their ‘Every Sheffield Child Articulate and Literate’ project, bringing a new dimension to our work – not to mention the challenges of trying to understand the musical worlds of three year old children!
